Patient Transportation and Accommodations Services

The staff of the Patient Transportation and Accommodations Department is available from
6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday to assist with transportation and hotel accommodations. A minimum of two working days (excluding holidays and weekends) is required to arrange transportation. This department promptly responds to all requests made by patients, physicians, and staff.

Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has arranged special rates with several neighboring hotels for our patients and their companions. Additionally, Bascom Palmer offers transportation services for a nominal fee to and from its Miami facility for patients who are unable to drive themselves.

Bascom Palmer’s transportation service is available only to and from the Miami facility and may be arranged by calling 305-243-4342.

Hotel Accommodations

Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami is located at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital campus, just 6 miles east of the Miami International Airport, and 3 miles northwest of downtown Miami. Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Naples is located in the newly developed Naples Community Hospital Medical Plaza near downtown Naples, Florida. The center is about 35 miles from the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, 2 miles from downtown Naples and 5 blocks from the beach.
